Outbound Day 4

550 miles, Texas & New Mexico today

Lots of wind on I-40 in northern New Mexico, was driving into a 40 MPH
headwind which made things interesting

I've met up with Jim in Deming, NM, we're 30 miles from the mexican
border! tomorrow we head to Amado, AZ for the overland expo!

Outbound day 3

made good time from Missouri to Texas, 9 hours

a little drizzle but nothing significant, snow was north of me,
tornadoes were south of me all day

Gas in Oklahoma was 3.29, a full 50 cents a gallon chaper than NY & Ohio....!

slight problem with the gas tank filler neck on Rubi, but should be
able to fix it in the morning

Tomorrow meeting Jim in New Mexico, location to be determined, but
probably somewhere in the south west corner of the state, almost in
Old Mexico!

Outbound Day 2

645 miles today after a rush hour snafu in St Louis... Gas prices are
going down and my mileage has improved!

OH, IN, IL & MO today

550 miles planned for tomorrow, ending in Amarillo, TX

OUTBOUND - Day 1

Just under 600 miles from Long Island to Columbus, OH. No major
problems except for the price of fuel! Got a couple shots, leaving
home, a cool tunnel in western PA and a brief 10 miles acrodd West
Virginia!

Today: NY-->NJ-->PA-->WV-->OH

Plan tomorrow 629 miles to Springfield MO

Hi Folks, I'm hitting the road again, here's all the info if you care where I am :-)

Rubi & I will be away from March 27th until about April 7th.

I'm meeting my friend Jim in southern Arizona at the 2011 Overland Expo , we are heading to northern Arizona to visit a friend in Prescott, AZ and check out the jeep trails. 

After that Jim & I are going to the Moab, UT area for some more camping and 4wheeling. After that back up to the Compound in Buffalo Creek, Colorado. I'll spend a couple weeks there before heading back home.    

NOTE: in the above map it shows me going to Wisconsin on the way home. Plans are changed & I dont think I will be going that far north.
